Celebrating Christmas with Schweppes at the heart of every festive moment​​

The Challenge
After a quiet Christmas in 2020, Schweppes wanted to own the festive comeback of 2021.
The goal: inspire Time Out’s young, cultured audience to celebrate wherever and however they were spending the holidays, keeping Schweppes’ festive serves at the centre of the action and continuing its 200-year streak of “lifting the nation’s spirits.”

The Insight
Time Outers are naturally experience-seekers, but after 18 months of restrictions, FOMO was at an all-time high.
From postponed work parties to family squabbles over the TV remote, they were more eager than ever to make Christmas sparkle and create memorable moments - indoors or out.

The Idea
We gave Londoners a festive season full of flexibility, fun, and fizz.
Whether readers were celebrating in cosy corners at home or out with friends, we made sure Schweppes was at the heart of it all. From a “Most Missed” list highlighting what Londoners were excited to do again, to sparkling cocktail recipes and a guide to the capital’s best festive events, every piece of content celebrated the joy of reconnection.
We even created a playful In & Out flip coverwrap and an engaging competition, giving three lucky readers the ultimate Schweppes party hamper - complete with cocktail kits, party snacks, festive decorations, and a Sonos Roam wireless speaker. The campaign captured the excitement, spontaneity, and sparkle of Christmas 2021, positioning Schweppes as the go-to ingredient for making the season truly festive.
